IT User Education In Summer Vacation by KAIST IT Education Volunteers

IT user education plan
Purpose: Exchange educations and students of the both Institutes of AAiT/AU and KAIST to promote mutual understanding and sharing knowledge

Activities

IT user education for the AAiT and AU students for 3 weeks on 6 courses
-
Culture exchange between two countries on weekday after class 4 times
-
Voluntary service for the primary schools on weekend 3 times together with
AAiT students -
Ethiopian culture inquiry trip to historical places for 4 days and 3 nights guided by AAiT students

The IT user education for 3 weeks on 6 courses will be served by the following instructors from KAIST students by each course;

schedules of culture exchange between two countries on weekday are
as followings;

-Korea traditional play such as Jegi -K-POP performance by the recruited -Sharing and enjoy foods prepared by both countries’ students |

Voluntary service for the primary schools on weekend schedule will
be completed by the end of the 5th

IT
USER COURSEs
Purpose
– Educate and train the people who are interested in using IT for
study, business, daily life so that they can understand and make use
of IT during they study, work or their daily lives easily and
efficiently.
Target
– The primary target of this course is AAiT preschool students and
all the students who are in need to learn IT including AAU students,
and gradually could be opened to civilians outside of the school who
are interested in these courses.
Course
– Attendees can choose between two types of level, the basic course
or the intermediate course, according to their capability of using
IT. The basic course is composed of computer
basics and basic functions of several office tools such as word
processor, presentation tool and spread sheet and the intermediate
courses are composed of detailed and sophisticated features of
various kinds of tools of office automation and data management,
including simple techniques being used to develop personnel blog and
café within internet website etc.
Basic Course –

– To have the learner understand IT and can handle computer as
they need -

– 60 hours (3 weeks) -

composition - IT101 (for 1 week) + Basic functions* of IT102, IT103,
IT104 (for 2 weeks)
* choose some basic functions
from IT102, IT103, IT104 for users to understand and can use simple
functions but are reasonable to teach within 2 weeks all together.
